Google Analytics Prestashop: how and to whom should you entrust bug correction ?

How to fix a bug or problem on a Google Analytics Prestashop module ?

If you have purchased a Google Analytics module for Prestashop and you encounter a technical problem, Web2007 can assist you and troubleshoot. You should know that in almost all cases, the module works perfectly, the server or php error comes from a conflict with your theme or one of your other installed modules. A troubleshooting expert will first detect errors with Prestashop's debug mode. Here are the tips: To determine if the bug is due to your template, activate the default Prestashop template and then refresh the page. If the bug persists, it means that your model is not at fault. To determine if the bug is caused by one of your modules, disable each module and refresh the page that caused the problem. If the bug appears suddenly, you can start with the modules that were installed most recently. If the bug goes away when you disable a module, that means that module is responsible.

Prestashop 1.6: Solution to the Google Analytics bug

Following a recent e-commerce project with Prestashop 1.6, we encountered an issue in the Google Analytics 2 module. This was preventing tracking information from flowing back to Analytics. The JS script generated by the module was not identical to that offered by Google Analytics. We have decided to give up this module (free module, installed by default in Prestashop 1.6). There are two other advantages to avoiding this module: it allows us to eliminate malfunctions related to this module and it allows to use one less module in Prestashop (reducing the number of modules increases the loading speed of your store by line). Our solution consists of: Uninstalling the Google Analytics module in the Prestahop Backoffice. You can directly implement the Analytics script in your header.tpl file. Just copy and paste it before tagging your Prestashop header.tpl files. If you don't have a custom template, you can use the default Prestashop theme. You will need to replace UAXXXXXXY-Y with your tracking ID. This code is much simpler than the original Google Analytics (GA) code. We added the literal tags before the GA script and /literal after. It won't work if you don't include these tags. You will see a nice white page and not your store. .tpl files, such as header.tpl are smart files that do not allow direct script insertion (or execution). Literal tags can be used to circumvent the "limitation" of .tpl files. This allows the GA script to work perfectly in your header.tpl. Once the "inserting a realized" is complete, you can save the file and download it. You can check how this change works and Google tracking. Modify the display of your store using your browser (F5). Open a new tab in the browser. Go to the Google Analytics interface. Go to > Realtime > Preview. At least one visit should be possible.

Problem Google Analytics Prestashop error "Cannot retrieve test results": cases encountered.

I installed the Google Analytics API module, and I configured it following the instructions. However, I received the following message: Unable to retrieve test results. I waited 2 days, but nothing changed. I tried putting the tracking code in the header file as suggested by google. However, my site shows a blank page when I insert it. I tried disabling it and just inserting the code in my header, but same problem. I have now deleted everything, but I still want to find a solution. I didn't know there were two Google Analytics modules. The one I'm trying to install is for Google Analytics API. I tried inserting the code using the literal but it didn't work. On the other hand, I've heard from other people that the module inserts a script but my header is not affected by activating the module. I declare that I have completed the 3 parameters (ClientID / Client Secret / Profile). Now I think maybe the problem is that I have to install Goole Analytics before the API. I installed the Google Analytics module, which solved my problem regarding the property. I installed the Google Analytics API again. I got an error message first, but everything worked fine the next day. Statistics are not showing in my dashboard or Google Analytics. To verify that everything is working correctly, I can see the line in the Google Analytics API module that tells me the number and pages viewed. However, the google analytics code is not in my header yet. I thought the code was still in the header.

Prestashop error 500: Google Analytics tracking ID.

After adding your Google Analytics tracking code, Prestashop may show a 500 error. Follow Google Analytics recommendations for tracking information. Prestashop tracking code and error 500. Google Analytics Prestashop real-time tracking problem: cases encountered.

An agency is our partner for Google Ads and Google Shopping campaigns. Our Ads account was previously correctly linked to our Google Analytics accounts. For some time now, we have not received data from our Analytics account. It is impossible to track users of the site. Here is the message our agency sent: I am coming back to let you know that we are having issues with our Analytics account. We have stopped tracking all users of your site. Only the "Direct" source seems to be active. Analyzing the "Real Time" tab shows me that there are no active users on the site when I'm on your homepage. My webmaster finally solved the problem by manually changing the place tag.

Prestashop bug Google analytics duplicate orders.

1st bug fixed by the new version of the excellent but still imperfect gAnalytics module. Orders could be sent multiple times if the customer reconnected to the order confirmation page. It's stupid, but it can be avoided by following a good routine. Many orders were sent in multiple copies before this correction. The criteria are the sessions that met the criteria. The same session can return an order from the past, but also the agendas. I was able to show the pageviews in this session by isolating the segment to a single date for better visibility. This was an admin session I was able to see. A ganalytics table records transactions that are sent or sent to GA. The "sent" column changes from 0 to 1 each time a transaction is sent. Solution: Delete the row with sent=0 from the table. You should have the most recent version of the Ganalytics module if you have orders that keep sending. If you have the opposite problem (i.e. orders that are not sent directly to Google Analytics can also be rejected. Almost all online payment services offer the possibility of sending the user back to the site immediately after payment. It displays the order confirmation page. This page can be used to send the correct code to GA for the correct session.
