Prestashop advanced partial delivery module.

This module will allow you to delay the shipment of products (partial delivery) and show transparency so that your customers receive the best possible service. How does it work? It's simple. You create a partial shipment by indicating the products you are shipping, the tracking number if applicable, the carrier associated with this shipment, and whether the customer needs to be notified of this shipment. Also attach any files if needed. You will benefit from more flexible order management. Your customers also have easy access to order management information. They are informed by e-mail and all the details are reported on the order history. Each partial delivery creation creates a delivery note.

How to make a Prestashop partial delivery ?

PrestaShop does not currently allow an e-merchant to ship multiple packages with a unique tracking number for each. This problem has been encountered by many e-merchants. Web2007 has developed a module to address this problem. This is the standard BackOffice view for tracking delivery on an order form. To add a tracking number, you can only edit one delivery line. The edit button has been replaced by the "Add" button. Clicking on it will open a more detailed form that allows you to add a new delivery. The tracking number and the quantity of products that will be shipped must be filled in. After entering the tracking number as well as the quantity of the items, you can submit your form. If no tracking number has been entered yet, the first line will be updated. A new line will be created if the tracking number has not yet been entered.

What is a partial delivery ?

A back order is a sales order that is not deliverable or complete at the time it is entered. It must be delivered at a later date. It is important to allow partial deliveries for backorders. When there is not enough stock, an order may be partially delivered. This is when the partial delivery status is applied to the sales order. This means that the part of the order that you cannot deliver is transferred to a pending order.
